The St-Laurent River freezes for 1 to 3 KM during Winter, with 4 to 5 feet hillocks. Tides do influence the sizes of hillocks, but that's the only thing they do.
Directions
Take highway 40, exit 254 (St-Marc des carrières,Deshambault). Follow Deschambautl signalisation. When you see the tree flasher lamp, it means your at the right place. You can park at the Hotel Aux Vieux.
